flow/control has collaborated with Interfase on designing and building a bespoke interactive installation for Maria Teresa e Trieste exhibition at Magazzino delle Idee.

The installation consists of two video projections, the first one shows changes in city architecture, and the second shows related artworks on the wall above.

Visitors can interact with the map using the tweleve interactive timeline points that allow them to browse through history of the city, to see it grow over time, and to learn about relevant artworks.

Additionaly, while interacting with the installation, the visitor can see how the historical city relates to to current satellite image of Trieste, by moving hand over a distance sensor.

The installation was built using web technologies for the display, and Arduino and BareConductive for sensors. The tweleve timeline points are made of steel, and connected to BareConductive's capacitive sensors. Active touch point information and distance sensor values are transmitted to the fronted through node.js server.

The installation has been visited by over ten thousand people, and is open in Trieste until 18th Februrary 2018.
